It can take a lot of courage to come forward to speak about a potential whistleblower claim. There is often much at stake for all involved, and whistleblowers need to feel confident that those they confide in fully understand the potential stakes, will maintain their confidence, and advocate on their behalf.
The first line of contact on our whistleblower team is attorney Jessica Grissom Plummer. Well respected among her peers, Jessica has been described as accomplished and driven – a trusted confidant and fierce advocate who is willing to go the distance in support of clients.
“It takes a lot of courage to come forward with a whistleblower claim,” Jessica said. “We are here to try to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible. Our team appreciates the risks associated with filing this type of claim, and we possess the experience, knowledge and tact to zealously advocate on our clients’ behalf.”
Jessica previously worked as a law clerk for two firms in Columbia, SC. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she participated in the Black Law Student Association Mock Trial Team. She earned her B.S. in Print Journalism magna cum laude from North Carolina A&T State University. She was a dean’s list scholar, a member of the Academic Honors program (Tri Beta Honors Society), and won the NC A&T Excellent Service Program Academic Award. Jessica also wrote for the university newspaper, The Register, was a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, and served as a Student Government Senator.
